Save the Date for our 24-Hour Family Walk
Saturday, August 2, 2025 through Sunday, August 3, 2025
Why Walk for 24 Hours?
Inspired by our father’s courageous journey with Parkinson’s disease, our older brother, Jeff, came up with the idea to plan a 24-hour family walk. Without hesitation, we were all in. Oddly enough, we never asked him why or what purpose he felt it served. We just knew, having lived through and with the challenges that our dad faced every single day, especially as his disease progressed. We wanted to experience what he felt with the constant movement from his tremors or the motion that never ceased because of the dyskinesia…even when he was fatigued and willing his body to just stop.
As we set out on our path, now known as PAPA’S (his grandchildren affectionately call him) PATH, we welcome our friends to join us as we walk for those living with Parkinson’s, for their caregivers who are always on-call and for our community of families who are traveling on a similar path. Thank you in advance for supporting the Babbush Family Fund for Parkinson’s Education, Research and Innovation and for joining us to honor our hero, our determined to never give up role-model, our dad.
